The terrifying ordeal happened last
night outside a supermarket in Mount Roskill when two teens forced the

The grandmother was supervising the girl and her brother in the car while their parents went into the supermarket.
The teens approached the girl and forced the grandmother and her grandson who tried to fend off the thieves.
"They were threatened and got
out of the vehicle unfortunately they weren't able to get the young girl
out and the two teenagers drove off with her still in the car," he
said.
Pursued by police the youths crashed the car within blocks of the supermarket then ran off before finally being arrested.
The little girl is now safe at home with her family.
"She's OK, now sometimes she's
just scared and just saying to us that I don't want to go outside those
bad guys will come again and take me ..." he said.
A 13 and 15-year-old appeared in the Auckland District Court facing charges including kidnapping.
The pair will reappear at the Youth Court next month.
